Bright Brigid Blessings/Imbolc

Imbolc or Candlemas means it's not quite spring but the seasons are changing! Time to bless seeds for the upcoming planting, candles to brighten the last of winter and delicious foods such as poppy seed cake and leek and potato soup.

The new moon happened early this morning in Aquarius, the sign that holds the vision of future.

This new moon is traveling with Saturn, make it real and the Sun, shine a light on it, so it's an auspicious start to the month even if Saturn is sometimes asking, "how is that gonna work?"

We also have the Chinese New Year into the year of the Water Tiger.

If you have passion projects that take courage and determination to accomplish the next few months are a great time to start them.

Mercury goes direct on Feb. 3 and then all the planets will be direct until May clearing our energy to get things done!

It's a good idea to be flexible as the Sun, Moon and Saturn combo are squaring Uranus in Taurus, too much stubbornness can break things, but Uranus is trining the Venus, Mars combo in Capricorn so you can really get some things done and have brilliant breakthroughs if you don't get too attached to a particular outcome; leave a little room for new inspiration to build forward the projects that you've had simmering on a back burner.

It's possible there will be some new natural disasters in places where the Earth needs to shift.

*I made myself a new necklace for the season using Red Belted conk mushroom slice, Elderberry twigs, fluorite and peridot crystal beads. It goes with mushroom slice earrings I made a few years ago with friends. It feels like carrying community with me when I wear them.

Plant friends: adaptogenic and strengthening herbs, golden milk with ashwagandha, ginseng

Stone friends: flourite, jasper
